Satsuma Mardi Gras Ball 2019

We are excited to announce that the Satsuma Public Library Foundation hosted the first annual Satsuma Mardi Gras Ball on January 25, 2019 at Steele Creek Lodge. There were over 200 in attendance including Mobile County Commissioner Merceria Ludgood, City of Satsuma Mayor Tom Williams and city council members Mike Butler, Allison Reese and Randy Little.  Everyone enjoyed a night of dancing with entertainment by The Excelsior Band and Charles "Bo" Grant (formerly of the Platters).  Attendees enjoyed incredible food, door prizes every hour, split the pot and a King and Queen contest. Don Reynolds was crowned as Satsuma's first Mardi Gras King and Evelyn Butler was crowned as the first Queen.  The stunning  decorations for the Ball were provided by Ronnie Williams.  Diane Little of A Little Shoppe provided a photo booth giving ball goers a wonderful keepsake of the unforgettable evening. Thank you to all who helped make this an amazing night and a special thanks to Satsuma Mayor and Council for sponsoring this event.  Hosted by Satsuma Public Library Foundation, all proceeds from the Ball will go to support Satsuma Public Library.
